I’m now in a battle with my sons’ school to continue getting school reports. Yes, I have parental responsibility and am legally entitled, but the Head Teacher seems to think the “undertaking” my ex wife made in court to write to me four times a year updating me about the boys progress limits my parental responsibility.
Of course it doesn’t and even the judge has written to me confirming this. But it does make any difference? Well, I’ll let you know in due course.
If you are a dad with parental responsibility then you are entitled to school reports and can check the law out here:

After complaining to the school governors who also refused to send me reports I finally went to the LEA who had a word with the head teacher and now my reports have been reinstated.
If at first you don’t succeed - don’t give up!
